The News

Well the cat is out of the bag so to speak! We've finally "come out" about the fact that we're trying to conceive (TTC). This may come as a shock to some of our friends and family that had likely given up hope that we'd ever have a baby. But rest assured we are working on it. And working on it much longer than I EVER thought we would be. Since Sept 2008 to be exact! For those who don't know, I have Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), here is a link for those that are not familiar (i know i wasn't!). So what you will see that this means is that i don't ovulate regularly. I've done 4 cycles with med to help make that happen, but only one so far worked and clearly it did NOT result in a pregnancy. I am currently in a waiting stage for cycle 4 to see if it worked or not. If it doesn't happen this cycle, we will be moving on to injectable meds. We're going to continue to be aggressive about this at least until it's time for us to go to Guam. So keep your fingers crossed for us!!

Wow

Wow, I'm a bit surprised, I'm totally getting bored with this not working thing already! It doesn't help that Brad's been working some crazy hours and he's not home much and when he is, he's sleeping. Luckily this only has to go on for this month then we can get back to normal, where i actually see him AND he's awake! He's off Tue-Thurs, so I expect we'll get a lot of house stuff done. We need to get this beast on the market ASAP. If we buckle down we can have it listed by the 1st of Feb, which gives us 3+/- months to sell it before we leave. And, wow, i can't believe we're actually getting that close. Course this was right about the time the pulled the rug out from under us when we we're supposed to go to Alaska, we were 3.5mos out. Keep your fingers crossed nothing like that happens again.

New Year, new hopes!

Welcome to 2010! I'm sure it's gonna be a good one! We've got lots of plans, my first Vegas trip in Feb/March, which will be to celebrate our 10th anniversary March 27. The house will be on the market while all this is going on, so hopefully sometime before May we'll sell it. I hate to think about it selling way early, that would involve us moving ourselves into a rental, and very few rentals will be thrilled about it being super short term, and our 3 big dogs! Sometime in May we'll be leaving good ole SC, FINALLY, after 7 long years, to live in tropical Guam!! Beyond May i have NO idea whats in store for us! I do know that Brad and i have discussed me going to school pretty much full time when we get there, I've heard nothing but great things about the University of Guam. He's banking on me getting some great job after i finish school and by time he's really to retire, in about 10 years, I'll be able to support us for a bit. We'll see, the real problem lies in the fact that i STILL don't know what i want to be when i grow up!!! I know what my interests are, but how to apply them to real world, realistic, jobs is another thing.

On a different note, we finally painted the bedroom! And it looks great! We got new bedding to match, and i hung some new things on the wall. We also rearranged (per the realtor's advice) some furniture, so overall it looks entirely different. I wish we had done it sooner for US and not the people looking to buy the house. We still have a bit of work to do, but it's mostly small projects. Wish us luck on getting this thing listed and sold!
